The Tomohon City Government closed and restricted hiking on Gunung Lokon, Gunung Empung and Gunung Mahawu (to prevent dry-season forest and land fires, and on the recommendation of BKSDA Sulut and PVMBG; Lokon at Level II, avoid a 1.5 km radius around Kawah Tompaluan). The city government said the reopening of the trails will be announced.
